If you ain’t scared, you ain’t human.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.

Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

    Everything is going to change.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

    Remember. Survive. Run.

With the looming release date of the highly-anticipated movie adaptation of The Maze Runner, here are five reasons you should read the book:

    One

The Maze Runner is action packed and will keep you up reading until the early hours. With a unique premise, it’s easy to slip into the world created by Dashner.

    Two

Reading the book before you watch the film will give you a major advantage over everyone else!

    Three

The world is so original - it even has its own dialect! This book is no pile of klunk.

    Four

There are so many dystopia novels out there at the moment, but this novel is one of the best. It’s adventurous and mysterious, with characters that you grow attached to and learn to love.

    Five

Once you’ve read The Maze Runner, you can read the rest in the series before those movies are released!

The Maze Runner is out now in paperback (£7.99) from Chicken House.

Love how you mixed the usual review post up and made it into something different!

I loved The Maze Runner, even though I found it quite slow. I still need to read the rest of the series though! Whoops. Haha! Hope you are well Lucy, lots of love!

I read the Maze Runner and I absolutely loved it! I loved their use of slang words and I really liked Minho’s sarcasm! I saw the movie and it was epic! They missed out all the complicated decoding, but that’s fine!

Ils sont quand meme gonflés d’appeler ça des niches fiscales !!! Comme si un crédit d’impôts légalement prévu par la loi pouvait être comparé à un compte opaque aux iles caÃ&;ans¯#8230m.

I bought the whole series from Oxfam bookshop, which should give me an incentive to read it and although it’s been on my bookshop it has still yet to be opened. I feel like this post has made me realise that I need to hurry up and open the book before the second movie gets released (mainly so I can be a total geek and point out all the things that they have changed)! Plus I think the whole ‘reasons to read this book’ list is really cool and original!
